Dewey CREWS DONIPHAN -- Dewey Winston CREWS, 73, of Ripley County died Monday Jan. 5, 2004, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan. Mr. CREWS was born Oct. 4, 1930, at Alton and had formerly lived in Maynard, Ark. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He had worked in maintenance and sawmills. On Feb. 2, 1952, he married Alma BRONCZYK in Pocahontas, Ark. She survives. Survivors include one daughter, Dewanna SMITH of Pocahontas; two sons, Neil CREWS of Lexington and Terry CREWS of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Edna LITHERLAND of Doniphan, Maxine JANSSON of Theodosia and Marie DUBOISE of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Hardy CREWS of Georgetown, Fla. and George CREWS of Star, Idaho; seven grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at EDWARDS Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Bro. Hubert PAYNE officiating.
