    3. I'm about 95% sure they are different people - probably first cousins to each other. Dorcas Job or Dorcas Jobe is a very COMMON name in the descendants of Samuel Job and Dorcas MacKay. And it is terrible that I've been researching the Job(e) line for almost 40 years now and the most questions are on my own Isaac Job and his brother, Jacob Job who married Martha Corder. For Jacob and Martha, we only have one proven child, Ruth (Jobe) Benjamin. I'm sure that there were more. Then for my Own Isaac Job(e), there are two sons who literally disappear. There is this Jacob Job 1815 -Lawrence Co., Arkansas Tax List 1816 -Lawrence Co., Ark Tax List *What happened to him after this and did he marry and have a family? And there is Caleb Job 1822 - sent by Lanita -All of these are 'receipts' were stampled to the Robert McWILLIAMS probate packet --------------received from the Arkansas History Commission, Lawrence Co., AR, Loose Probate Bonds, Roll 78 "Twelve months after date I promis to pay the administrators of Joseph Looney Dec. Eighteen dollars thirty seven & a half cents for value recd This 21st day of Dec 1822 signed by: Robert McWilliams CALEB JOBE Surety for Robert McWilliams" ---------- 1827 -Nov 11, Isaac Job and Caleb Job were witnesses to the will of James Bellah ---------- l827 - Lawrence Co, Arkansas- Listed as Security BELLAH, James, deceased. Bond of Charles HATCHER and John HUDSON, executors of will, December 1, 1827. Securities: Isaac JOBE, Caleb JOBE. 1829 -Lawrence Co, Arkansas Tax List, p. AR005 (Davidson Township) 1830 Lawrence Co, Arkansas Census 1831 -Izard Co, Arkansas Tax List, p. AR004 (Arkansas Territory-Randolph) *WE have nothing to actually prove his children. For the other sons of Isaac, we have Isaac Jr (who is still full of questions), Samuel (whose line is much better though we're still missing a son and a daughter born 1825-1830 who are not on the 1840 census and MY Eli B., thanks to probate and estate records is pretty concrete. Thank the Lord for those probate and estate records. Now I'm pretty sure that Dorcas Jobe who married Abner Bailey was a son of Isaac Senior and a sister to the ones mentioned above - Isaac Jr, Samuel, Eli B., Jacob and Caleb. However, we cannot rule out that she could possible be a d/o Jacob Jobe and Martha Corder. Either way, she would still be a granddaughter of Samuel Job and Dorcas MacKay.
