I don't have her maiden name, her middle name is Elizabeth. The exact marriage date of Nancy and Thomas was 25 Mar 1860. I believe that came from Oregon County Marriage records. I got most of my Blankenship information before I had a computer crash and had to reconstruct my data from a GEDCOM. My line is Christena Blankenship, sister of Nancy J. I have a probate record of Gilbert Blankenship that lists the heirs of Gilbert and Nancy. Coincidentally, the Justice of the Peace that coincided at the Probate was Christena's husband Benjamin Carroll Phillips. They were my gg-grandparents. I have a couple of marriage licenses for his children that he performed as JP. It appears that Gilbert died without a will and the court was needed to divide his property which amounted to 440 acres in Oregon County. From reading the probate it appears that since BC Phillips was the judge, Christena and him did not receive a share, but Christena's share went to their children. Ed Grooms is the source of most of my Blankenship information. He found the probate record while researching Blankenships in Oregon County courthouse. He is a descendant of BC Phillips and his 2nd wife, Margaret Risenhoover through his father. He is related to Blankenships through his mother.
