Did you find them in the census, if so, where? Lanita
Kara, Not sure which Isaac you're referring to. Isaac Job born about 1766 Augusta (now Warren Co) VA and who died Feb 24, 1815 from wounds at the Battle of New Orleans was s/o Samuel Job and Dorcas MacKay. He appears on a 1799 petition in Knox Co., TN, and on 1802 and 1803 Livingston Co., KY Tax List. Then he is on 1810 East Condoria Parish, LA census. Then we have his 1812 war records. *We do NOT have a wife for him and then nothing until his children start showing up in 1815-1820 Lawrence Co., AR area (or what was then Lawrence Co., AR) - today it is Oregon Co., MO - Randolph Co., AR border. You're right - again we have no spouse for the oldest son, Isaac Job Jr. Actually we're missing spouses for most all of the children and they all had to have married In what was then Lawrence Co., AR or Wayne Co., MO - later to be Ripley Co., MO, Randolph Co., AR and ORegon Co., MO. And they pretty much had to come from families that were in this area by 1815-1825 time frame - families that many of us are working on. I "believe" that she was the d/o Isaac Job Senior, who died in 1815, and a brother to my Eli B. Jobe.
