    3. Good Morning, I dislike that term, "brick walls", if any of y'all can think up a better one, you'll win the contest. Anyway..... NEW TOPIC: Everyone pick just one particular item in your research that has given you fits and sleepless nights. For example, "I can't find my GGrandfather, _________, in the 1870 census; or, I know my grandparents, _______ and _______, were married, but can find no record; something on that order. But not on this order, "I can't find my ________ Family in 1870." Just one specific thing that you still need to find to make your research life happy, again. Okay? Now, send it on in to the list! We've kicked down some pretty tall BW's here, so send yours to the list and let's have a whack at it! N

    3. Forgot to give you my "orphaned ancestor". Alexander BLACK, born 1795-ish in Alabama. Moved to Coles County, IL by 1840. His grandson, my great-grandpa John Riley Black, moved to Wayne County, MO around 1902 and died of smallpox three years later. Even more interesting to me would be the full name of Alexander's first wife who died somewhere along the way. John Riley Black had a son, Lawrence Black, who lived in the Oregon/Howell County area and still has a few descendants there. Would love to hear from any of you. Terry
