Deloris, Here'a another link that might help you find information about your GGrandfather's adoption records. This one is specific to New York State: http://www.nyadoption.org/ Since your GGrandfather was adopted in NY State, is there any possibility he had just arrived on a passenger ship from another country? If you send some background information, either privately or to the list, we'll sure try to do whatever we can to help. Is there anyone else out there that has had the same experience? If so, jump in here and let us know! That's GGGrandfather. Deloris You give up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy" <lacywinston@earthlink.net> To: <MO-OREGON-HISTORY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 18, 2003 10:57 AM Subject: Re: [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] New Topic...Brick Walls > Dear "Given Up", > > Forget it, Deloris - you aren't allowed to give up! > > > N > > > Deloris Harriell wrote: > > > > Given Up, > > Deloris > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Nancy" <lacywinston@earthlink.net> > > To: <MO-OREGON-HISTORY-L@rootsweb.com> > > Sent: Tuesday, February 18, 2003 10:01 AM > > Subject: [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] New Topic...Brick Walls > > > > > Good Morning, > > > > > > I dislike that term, "brick walls", if any of y'all can think up a > > > better one, you'll win the contest. > > > > > > Anyway..... > > > > > > NEW TOPIC: > > > > > > Everyone pick just one particular item in your research that has given > > > you fits and sleepless nights.
