On my dads family my dad and his dad were the only Nichols I ever saw and both died when I was a child. On my moms side I saw her mom and a couple of brothers and her sister. We had a house fire when I was young and lost everything so I never knew what any of the families looked like or where they were. I though in research maybe I could find some and pay for copies of our family pictures and find some history on my families. I found 1 cousin on my dads side that shared a couple pictures and now have 1 of my grandparents and also 1 of my dad. On my moms side I did find 1 cousin but our line is a few gen. back but she is a wonderful shareing person.Most people that I have found in my family lines are not the shareing type maybe because I have none to share in return.
