Judy, The Oregon County Genealogy Society is a great one to join. I joined in Oct, so it doesn't make a difference when you join. They are good about keeping track of the months.. it goes a full year from the time you join. They have put out a History Book, as well as cemetery book. I also have alot on Oregon Co. families. Lanita, When I joined I was told it started at a certain time and renewed at the same time for everyone. In fact I think November 1 is the renewal date; therefore now would be a great time to join. I am going to send in my years $10 dues today. Because they will do research for you and the dues pays for itself very quickly. When you join just ask for how the research volunteers operate. When I ordered bunches of things through them they said I had ordered the most up to that time. I do have more requests though.
