Ann, Just a hunch.., but have you thought of searching any middle names of her children as a surname?.... particularly in the areas you know his family to being?? Lanita

Actually for HER children, I don' thave any middle names. They show up in the great grandchildren. First daughter is Epsey. For her I show a middle initial of A, but can't remember now where it came from. Since I don't know Elii's mother's name either, they would have married though in Eastern TN, I don't know if the name Epsey or Epsa is coming from her or Prudence's family. Only one of Eli and Prudence's daughters have brought the name Prudence down into their family and that was Martha Jobe who married William S. Cypret. Their Prudence was born about March 1850 - about the time that Eli's wife, Prudence would have died. Plus this granddaughter Prudence Cypret also died between 1850-1860.
