I,am still searching for information on Martha Pool Roberts three children by Alexander Roberts,i would like to know who these children married and where they died at,maybe someone out there knows, i know that Alexander lived and died in Oregon County Mo.and that Martha married a Levi Hodges after Alexander died,don,t know anything on Levi Hodges, the childern by Alexander that Martha had was Lucinda born 1848,Sarah J born 1846,and John A born 1844 i believe that Martha had at least one child by Levi Hodges?? they were in Oregon and Ripley County Mo.that i know of. thank you mariesweet@aol.com

Hi Marie, The 1850 census of Oregon County includes the family of Levi and Martha A. Hodges. The record appears as follows: Levi Hodges 23 Ala Martha A. 24 Ten Martha A. 1/12 Mo John A. Roberts 6 Mo Sarah J. 4 Mo Lucinda 2 Mo I would guess that the one-month-old Martha A. Hodges was the daughter of Levi and Martha. The census of this household was enumerated on August 23, 1850. If they completed the census correctly, Martha A. Hodges was born in April of 1850 (though I wouldn't bet on the accuracy of that date). My interest in the Alexander Roberts family is the marriage of Rebecca Roberts to Simpson Couch, the marriage of Nancy Roberts to John D. Taylor, and especially the marriage of James Roberts to Roena Hall. Good luck!
