    3. Denise, I have a copy of an e-mail that I once sent to you, maybe I missed answer back. Lanita had sent me the census for Elijah Hurst and wife, Catharine with children John M 2 and Wilmoth F. 9m both born in MO. It is the 1850 census. 1860 census shows children John 13, George 7 and William 3. Missing is Wilmoth F. 9m, should have been 10 there. 1860 census shows "Catherine" spelling. On our info we have Catherine born in Oregon Co., MO and not VA. Catherine is the sister of my gg grandfather, Joseph House, oldest child of Jacob and first wife. Joseph House married first to Mary Annis Perkins, then to a Julie Ann. We have not been able to find Julie Ann House after the death of Joseph. I am not sure that I go along with Matilda Ivy being the first wife, I have seen NO proof and CANNOT find any. One day it was on-line as a guess, then it begin to be there as a sure fact. Matilda's father would have had to be married twice for it to work since Jacob is in the 1820 Lincoln Co., TN census with wife too old for the marriage of her father that I have date for. Always glad to see House family, Marguerette House Powell At 12:13 AM 9/14/02 -0700, Denise Smith wrote: >Does anyone know if the following couple had children? >If they did what were their names? > >1Catherine HOUSE b: 1828 in Culpeper County, Virginia, >USA d: 1861 in Oregon County, Missouri, USA the >daughter of Jacob HOUSE, Sr and Matilda IVY. > +Elijah HURST b: Abt. 1826 >m: June 13, 1845 in Oregon County, Missouri, USA >Thanks, Denise > > > > >===== >Smith Surname Family Group Sheets Gedcom at Rootsweb- These families are >not related by blood, but through the love of genealogy and the surname SMITH. > >http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=smith_brick_wall > >__________________________________________________ >Do you Yahoo!? >Yahoo! 1. [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] Cude and Wheeler lines - this is what I know about them
    2. Patricia Wojewski
    3. Hello Jackie, The Wheeler line first: My mothers dad was W. D. Haas and one of her brothers George Frank Haas, now deceased married Helen Wheeler and lived in Detroit. They had 2 boys and the youngest a girl. I remember seeing the parents of Helen Wheeler Haas and they lived in the Detroit area when I was a young girl. I met with my cousin Joanne Haas, the daughter of George Frank Haas this summer when visiting up there. Now for the Cude side: The only two I actually know is Billy Joe Cude and his daughter Stacia Lynn, who is now married and has a different last name. Billy Joe Cude's mother was Alice Davidson, my great aunt before she married Billy Joe's dad. I found Billy Joe's submitted information on a web site for our genealogy and I wrote to him and spoke many times by phone before he passed on about a year after I discovered him. He was my first cousin, once removed. His mother was the youngest of the Davidsons (large family) and my grandmother was the oldest and quite a bit older and that's how Billy Joe and I ended up being 1st cousins, once removed. I do know some about Billy Joe's history but never met the rest of the family since my parents moved north for work prior to us children being born. Although we visited in AR many times during the summers when growing up I never met him or his family. I hope that helps you Jackie. Patricia W. W. Pat, Im interested in your Cude and Wheeler lines.
