    3. Peggy, Thanks so much for the lookup... the more we find, the more questions we have! It explains another thing that I found that didn't make sense at the time. This Henry Ford HAS to be a 2nd marriage... Am I reading the census right? Is she 76 or 71? And is he 48 or 43? Which figures are the ages, and what is the other figure? Thanks so much for this help!! Lanita

    1. [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] Sadie Elliott Ford/for DETHROW Researchers
    2. Lanita Sconce Miller
    3. Hey DETHROW kin, Just got Sadie ELLIOTT FORD's obit [Phebe ELLIOTT DETHROW's sister].. It reads: "FORD Mrs. Sadie FORD, aged 70, of 11 Indiana-av., S.W., passed away Thursday morning at Doyle sanitarium. She is survived by her husband, Henry FORD; one daughter, Mrs. Henry FINNER of Amelia, VA., and one son, Arah Daniels. The body was removed to the Workman Funeral Home. Funeral announcement later. Grand Rapids Press Grand Rapids, MI 11 May 1939" How do we know this is our PHEBE ELLIOTT DETHROW's sister? Because Phebe's obit says that she had one sister, Sadie, of Grand Rapids, MI. [You will recall that Phebe Elliott DETHROW was the wife of Elias Samuel DETHROW] Now, I'm hot on the trail towards Virginia!! Lanita

    3. The 1880 Census is on Family Search (LDS site). That's how I found the change in name from Abner to Absolem. It was bad enough with nicknames and initials. Loretta
