    3. Carol, I'm sure you already know this, but since the marriage was 1836, it would HAVE to be in Ripley Co... none of the other counties in the area in MO were formed at that time. They were all formed from Ripley.. [Oregon Co. was formed in 1845.] Okay, Ripley Co. people... can you help Carol out? Lanita

    2. I am researching the following families in Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas: UPSHAW, BAKER, STUBBLEFIELD, ROBINETT, TUCKER, CONDRAY, ODELL, SPRATLEY, MORRIS (Kentucky), CATES, and a bunch more. I am particularly interested in learning about a woman named Ailsey Robinett, born probably about 1902. She was the daughter of Joseph Hammett Robinett and Samantha Upshaw (my great-aunt). They lived in or near Doniphan. I don't know who she married, but I have a photo of her with two sons. Do any of you find her in any of your reference material?

    3. I need some kind-hearted family researcher, & aren't we all?, to check for a marriage license: William A. Thompson & Mary B. McClain/McLain....different variations on spelling. I have date as Jan. 2, 1836, Randolph Co., Ark., but place of marriage is incorrect. Mary was from Mo., so maybe Oregon or Ripley Co., Mo. ....maybe???? thanks, Carol Thompson

She married Jess Arthur Thompson. We are thinking there is a bigger story about Ellen than what we know. The Thompson children all called John Uncle, but Ellen never talked about her family except for John. Thanks for you help, Mack
