Well guys.. I just had to tell you about my gold mine I got in the mail today! I am trying to prove lineage between all the generations from the Patriot down to me for DAR.. ya'll already knew that! I was concerned that the son died before both of his parents. But, decided to order the Will of the father and got it in the mail today.. In all those probate papers, are signatures of the children of the son stating their receipt of money they got from the estate of their grandpa... I am really stoked!! Along with one of the receipts, is one signed by my own Phebe DETHROW, her mother, Hope ELLIOTT, and Phebe's grandmother, Susannah ELLIOTT [dau. of the Patriot]... SO, be sure to check out all of the receipts of estate payments.. you just never know what you'll come across.. This is one connection that was really bothering me trying to prove because the son was never found in the household by name of his parents... This is pretty solid evidence, and I am truly stoked!! NOW, if I can just get the actual Will of the Patriot, I'll be set! Have ordered it, but hasn't arrived yet... anybody live in Washington Co., PA?? Lanita

Doris, Not exactly. It cleans out a cache of temporary files which your browser keeps so it can recall a page on the internet. Hi List, Still looking for info on Oscar Lawson & Rose (Rosa) Couch. This afternoon I found info on the 1900 Piney Twp. census that shows Rose (Rosa) at age 24 was still living in the home of Alfred Perry Couch, her uncle. So, I'd say she & Oscar didn't marry until after 1900. Any information appreciated. Carlene Missouri Ozarks
Carlene, From some notes I have: Rose Lea COUCH b. 14 May 1875 d/o Lindley COUCH and Sarah Ann KILLMAN. Raised by Martha Ann BOZE and Alfred Perry COUCH following her mother's death. Married Oscar LAWSON in Ennis, TX. Hope this helps you get started. N MeFreeToB@aol.com wrote: > > Hi List, > > Still looking for info on Oscar Lawson & Rose (Rosa) Couch. Thanks, Lanita. Knew I didn't find him in the 1880 census, but thought they would show up in the 1900. Just maybe someone else on the List will know of this family. Carlene Missouri Ozarks
Hi List, Looking for information on Oscar Lawson (1875-1936) who married Rose Couch (1876-1955). Both are buried at New Salem Cemetery. I'd like to know who Oscar's parents were and the names of Oscar & Rose's children. Visited New Salem last week & know there are a number of Lawsons there, but don't have enough info to make any connections. Any help appreciated. Carlene Missouri Ozarks
Carlene, I checked the Oregon Co. Census for 1880 and 1900.. Oscar is not listed with any LAWSON families.. What about the surrounding area? Anybody got Fulton Co. AR, Randolph Co., AR or Howell Co., MO? Lanita

Loretta, Thanks for the land records suggestion being under ABNER instead of Absalom... hadn't thought of that, and yes, the father did own land, in the county in which he permantly settled.. but can find no proof that the son ever lived in the same county before 1840 when all that is listed is a son by the same age as THE son.... Next question to everybody..... I'm thinking out loud here, so I hope I'm not as dumb as it appears... The transfer/deeding of fathers land to sons will not be listed on the BLO site... right? Don't I need to go to that county to see about deeded records... Help me out here guys! Lanita
