1. James BELLAH. Born in 1800 est. in Tennessee. On 10 Jul 1821 when James was 21, he married Eleandor "Nellie" HUDSON, daughter of Edward D. HUDSON & Mary Ann WHEAT, in Randoph Co. AR. Born on 14 Apr 1793 in Green County, TN. Eleandor "Nellie" died in Springville, Ventura Co., CA, on 26 Feb 1882; she was 88. They had the following children: 2 i. Samuel (1820-) 3 ii. Leonard (1800-)..should this be 1820? 4 iii. Walter SR (1806-) should this be 1826? 5 iv. Elizabeth (1802-) should this be 1822? 6 v. Nathan (1805-) should this be 1825? There is obviously a problem here because James can't have been born in 1800, and fathered a child at the age of 5!! I know that Arkansas water is GREAT, but, can it really do the supernatural? Lanita - Check History of Randolph County by Lawrence Dalton at this URL http://www.rootsweb.com/~arrandol/books/daltonindex.htm Use your find feature to search for Stubblefield, or there is a surname index. I show the Elizabeth married to William was Elizabeth LOONEY. In the History of Randolph County it says that Coleman and Fielding STUBBLEFIELD were the first settlers in the county along with their cousin, William LOONEY. -----Original Message----- From: lanita miller [mailto:ozarkn@southwind.net] Sent: Thursday, June 05, 2003 10:17 PM To: MO-OREGON-HISTORY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] STUBBLEFIELD Does anybody know anything about this line? When did this marriage take place? There are Stubblefields in the 1860 and 1870 census for Oregon Co. Both list Arkansas as a place of birth. However, I do not see a daughter Elizabeth in the census. Levi Stubblefield married into my Redus lines so I have bits of information. > >Stubblefield, Elizabeth Phillips, William Do you know anymore about this marriage. I've pinned down most of the other Phillipses in Oregon County, but I can't lay claim to this one. However, I have been researching in Henderson Co TN. This is where my Phillips and Blankenships came from before Oregon County. I was looking through the 1850 census for Henderson County and found a Stubblefield family. They have a daughter, Elizabeth who is 14. In the same district is William Phillips, age 8. I can't connect his Phillips family to mine either. Gene
