I've noticed that some people were b. in the 1880s who are listed, but none are listed if they were born in the 1860s..... He's living in 1930, but I know that not all people are listed in the SSDI.. just can't remember what year it started.. If he died before 1937, [which he was certainly old], and the SSDI didn't take effect until 1937, then he wouldn't be listed.... I need help on this. Lanita
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Social Security Act didn't pass until 1937 and from what I've read, most people listed on SSDI on internet died after 1951, can't remember why from 1937 to 1951 people aren't listed. John, Where are your BAKERS from? And what are some of the names? My grand mother was Aquila Baker, and raised by Mr and Mrs James M. Brawley. She was born ca.1869. Lived in Oregon Co. until she married in 1886 to Wm Butts. Ruth ----- Original Message ----- From: "John R. Alice Paralee STARLING was b. 1873, and was the dau. of Samuel and J. STARLING. They are in Union Township, Randolph Co., AR in the 1880 Census. She is listed as Alice "L". She mar. William Abner ARNOLD, son of Isaac Henry ARNOLD and Melinda J. McINTOSH. If they mar. bef. 1890, it wasn't in Oregon Co. Hope this helps! Lanita I think my family tree is a few branches short of full bloom.

Catherine, I am not in need of the records of the Wooldridge but am curious as to which William wrote the book. I am lifelong friends to Billy Paul of Mammoth Spring. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kara S" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, September 06, 2005 11:15 AM Subject: Re: [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] Starling Wooldridge and Ann Gossage > Catherine, > > I would love all information you can send! > > Thanks, > > Kara > > > Kara S.- Enjoying the genealogy puzzle! > > > ==== MO-OREGON-HISTORY Mailing List ==== > http://www.oregoncountyhistory.net/ > >
Kara, you might check out GenForum for Wooldridge info. There is a wealth of information there and William C. "Bill" Wooldridge regularly checks in and answers questions that relate to his line. Catherine
No rudness taken. William Andrew Wooldridge was Elias Pinkney Wooldridge's father. Mother was Eliza Kellett. William is buried in Randolph County according to Bill Wooldridge's book. Kara, I don't know how important it is to you, but Elias Pinkney Wooldridge's wife, Elizabeth, is buried at Davis Cemetery. Because I was never able to find his grave, the Sons of the Confederacy placed a stone for him at the foot of Elizabeth's grave. Do you want me to mail the Wooldridge information to you or just email it?
