    2. Claudette Hackworth
    3. Ann, the only Birchett information I have came from Lanita, bless her heart for her web site and her help. My husband Steve Hackworth descends from Charles Larry Hackworth, son of Ted Wesley Owen Hackworth, son of James Newton Hackworth, son of Matthew David Hackworth, son of James Preston Hackworth. I can carry it back a very long way. Many of the family is buried in the Myrtle Cemetery, including my son. I would love to find more about the McGinnis family. My Grandmother was Dovie Esther McGinnis Gist. She lived in Jackson County, Arkansas. Her father was Christopher Columbus McGinnis. There once was a lot of information on Rootsweb by Mr. W. K. "Bill" Gorman. His posting has been removed. I emailed him in June of 2002 and he responded that he would put the information back on and he would notify me when he did. He has never put it back on. I hope he is OK and just has not found the time. I don't think his email address is valid anymore. There are several McGinnis people in the Myrtle Cemetery, but I can't seem to tie them into my line. 2. Lanita Sconce Smith
    3. Richard, I found something interesting: First Generation ————————————————————————————————————————————— 1. John Henry JENKINS. Born in 1800-1810. Was on the census for McMinn Co. TN, in 1840. Was on the census for Polk Co., TN, in 1850. Was on the census for Polk Co., TN, in 1860. Was on the census for Polk Co. TN, in 1870. John Henry died in probably Polk Co., Tennessee, in 1870-1880; he was 70. On 22 Nov 1827 when John Henry was 27, he married Cynthia Berry SCONCE, daughter of Robert Jr. SCONCE (1765-1817) & Jane [Jenny] MAYFIELD (1789-aft 1850), in Williamson Co., TN.1 Born abt 1809 in Williamson Co., Tennessee. Was on the census for McMinn Co. TN, in 1840. Was on the census for Polk Co., TN, in 1850. Was on the census for Polk Co., TN, in 1860. Was on the census for Polk Co., TN, in 1870. Was on the census for Bradley Co., TN, living with her son, Thomas, in 1880. Cynthia Berry died in probably Bradley Co., TN, aft 1880; she was 71. They had the following children: i. Thomas. Born in 1828 in Tennessee. Was on the census for Polk Co. TN, in 1850. Was on the census for Bradley Co., Tennessee, his mother is in his household, in 1880. ii. Esther. Born in 1830. iii. Russell. Born in 1833. iv. Nancy. Born in 1837. v. Nelly. Born in 1840. vi. John. Born in 1843.************ vii. William. Born in 1845. The son JOHN, if we are talking about the same one [and that's a big IF], would have been in the area the same time as his uncles [John C. SCONCE and Daniel W. SCONCE].... The SCONCEs were "originally" from Bourbon Co., KY before moving to TN. Hope this helps! Lanita I think my family tree is a few branches short of full bloom.

    2. Lanita Sconce Smith
    3. Peggy, I looked at my Randolph Co. DAVIS, and because of the birthyear of your Angeline, she had to have been a dau. of John David DAVIS [1820-bef 1870] IF she was connected to my line. John David DAVIS was son of Lott DAVIS and mary Ellen ANDERSON. I haven't researched John David's line so don't have census info. Just thought I'd give you some clues to where to start if they were part of mine. Hope this helps! Lanita I think my family tree is a few branches short of full bloom.

    3. I have an Arabella Carr not sure where she is from.. She was born about 1807 probably in SC. I believe her father may have been John Carr. She married John Robinson probably in McNairy Co TN. The family later moved to Randolph Co AR. Looking for information of where they might have gone... or their children might have moved. There might be connections to the Horns from AL.
