    3. Basically, if their name is Higginbotham, they are related to me. The folks all seem to tie to Nicholas Higginbotham way back in the 1500s. The Higginbothams in Oregon Co., came south with the Hankins and Muse folks from up in the Warren and St. Chas. Co. area. I would love to see whatever anyone can share on these folks. I have a huge database of the Higginbothams that I can help folks with too. 3. Richard, Thank you very much for the information on the White family. I appreciate your time and efforts. I may however have the wrong White family. In 1860 Census: 1860 Union Twp, Fulton Co., AR WHITE, John, age 25, MO WHITE, Nancy, age 25, LA TURNER, Lucinda, age 37, domestic, LA TURNER, Louisa, age 18, domestic, MS TURNER, Ald*minco {?], age 16, domestic, [no state listed] I was under the impression, that Nancy (John's wife) was born a Turner. Those Turner girls listed above had a sister named Nancy b. abt 1836 in TN; according to the 1850 Census of Tishomingo Co., MS. Two of the Turner girls; married a Gosnell in MO., in the 1860's. Thanks again Harold Gosnell

    2. Louise Wiles
    3. I have answered the Roll Call twice but I have not noticed it in my Digest, maybe the third time will be a charm. My families in Oregon, MO were DICKEYand ROY. My Dickey great grandfather's parents is my brick wall. John M. DICKEY and his wife Josephine C. Gaines DICKEY were married there in 1875. My grandfather (Robert William), their first born son, was born the end of that year. There second son (Joseph A.) was born there in 1879. They are on the: 1880 census in Jobe Township. John was 40, a miller born in AL, father in VA, Mother in TN. Josephine was 28 born in TN as were her parents, (the Gaines family was in AR on the 1860 census.) William Robert was born ca Dec 1875 Joseph A. was born 1879 The other sons, James, Charles, Jefferson and Samuel were born after 1880. There was also a Thomas 12 years old listed as son on the DICKEY 1880 census. I can't find him on an earlier census with John, he couldn't have been John & Josephine's son. I haven't been able to find any information as to John's parents. He died in 1896 and Josephine died in 1899 in unknown locations. The four youngest sons were in two separate households in Lawrence Co., AR on the 1900 census. They are listed as servants but I know the youngest at 4 years old wasn't doing much serving. I have been told this means they are not related to this family. The two oldest were in Boone, Co AR on the 1900 census, William Robert just married and Joseph A. Dickey living with them. John ROY and his wife Martha A F Goswick ROY & family were in Boone County, AR by 1880 but they were in Oregon Co. MO on the 1860 &1870 census. Their oldest son George W. (my great grandfather) was married there to Sarah C. Barger ROY about 1868. They had daughter Susan die young. Their next daughter Martha Ellen ROY married my grandfather William Robert DICKEY in Boone Co. AR in 1900. If any one has information about either family please contact me. I have looked for many years for information about John M. DICKEY'S parents. I am not sure about John ROY'S parents either. I guess they just don't want to be found yet. Kara Kara S.- Enjoying the genealogy puzzle! The 20th Great Grandaughter of Hugh Rose 1 Laird of Kilravock - Scotland

    1. Re: [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] JENNY, About Your FAGAN'S
    2. Jenny: Thank you for the information. Just to let you know. My Kellett's came from North Carolina. They went down through South Carolina and stopped for a while in Georgia in 1803, then to Tennessee some time around 1809-1810. Then my Kellett family arrived in Lawrence Co, AR about 1815. My 3rd Gr-Granddad Josiah Kellett died in Oregon Co, MO in 1891. If I come across any FAGAN's or FAGIN's, I will let you know. There's a lot of great people on this list and if you don't know something, ask someone will help you. Welcome to the list. Josiah [email protected] writes: J.B. Thanks for you answer. My first account of my gr-grandmother Wiggs was that she was Martha Fagan b. 1847 in Forsythe Co, GA and was daughter of John Fagan b. 1803 in SC and Elizabeth b. 1815 un SC. If I'm reading my info correctly, this came from Randolph County, AR 1880; # 5; Union Township. All I have on her death is she died and was buried in Randolph County (when nor where we don't know). We are assuming it was between 1882 and 1886 since my grandmother was born 1882 and her dad (Isaac Tyner) remarried in 1886. There were (I believe 2 sisters living in the household and we are assuming (perhaps) Martha may have died at childbirth and the teenage sisters of I. T. raised the baby for him. We, also, are assuming she may be buried in Fagan Cemetery near Doniphan, MO since that used to be a part of Randolph County AND she has a grandson buried there. I will appreciate any help possible on when and where Martha died and is buried.
