    3. Todd M George was one of Quantrill's lieutenants. He was mortally wounded at a battle near the Little Blue River and Independence, Missouri, on 10/21/64. He was indicted in 1863 for the murder of George Burt at Lawrence, Kansas. Like anything having to do with the Kansas/Missouri War, your opinion of how accurate it is has a lot to do with your general feelings about that war. Long ago someone on this list was working on a list of soldiers at Lone Jack. I probably mentioned it before, but the list should include members of the 8th Battalion Missouri Infantry, including Samuel Burton McFerrin and his father, Jackson Benton McFerrin (M380 roll 10). Samuel Burton went on to be reorganized with the 8th Battalion into the 9th Missouri Regiment. His father stayed in Cass County, where he was murdered. It is titled The conversion of Cole Younger The early Day Bandit Becomes a Christian by Todd M. George. Also in this book he tells of the Battle of Lone Jack and Early Day Stories. How accurate is it ,and can you tell me about Todd M. George? 3. I am thinking you are thinking about George W. Todd who was mortally wounded near Sugar Creek October 21 (or 22 or 23), 1864, and later died and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence, Missouri . I never heard of Todd M. George.
