    1. {Civil War} 65,000 - Scott K Williams - his response
    2. Arleigh Birchler
    3. Mr Williams responded to my query. We have not yet gone into detail about how he defined his terms, or how he arrived at the 65,000 number. He did say there are errors in old versions of his material that are on the web, and he has corrected them. He suggested folks might want to visit his sites on "Slavery in St Louis" and "U.S. Colored Troops". Perhaps seeing his name associated only with Black Confederates gives one an incorrect image of him, and his beliefs. If anyone has any specific questions about his material, please let me know. I will forward questions to him. Let me know if I should give him your email address so that you can discuss matters without an intermediary.
