I am a native-born Missourian, now living in Georgia. An editor and copywriter by training, I have also worked as an associate editor of The Georgia Historical Quarterly. My father's family has been in Missouri since the early 1840s, and during the Civil War were all on the Confederate side--some rode with Quantrill, some were in the MSG, others served in Confederate regiments.
