DE SOTO WEEKLY FACTS De Soto, Jefferson, Missouri 5 MARCH 1896 Gen. Madison MILLER, a venerable and respected citizen of St. Louis, and one of the most prominent members of the G.A.R. in that city, died suddenly and alone in the bath room of his home at 4248 Maffitt avenue, Thursday afternoon. There was no one in the house at the time and the body was not discovered until an hour after the General's death. The family physician, Dr. MAGOON, pronounced the cause of death apoplexy. Gen. MILLER was a brother-in-law of Mr. L.J. RANKIN of this city and had a great many friends here. The funeral took place Sunday and was largely attended. Several of our citizens were in attendance.
