Dear Arleigh, Wow - What a record. I knew about Wilson's Creek and Shiloh, but not about all the other events. He -- and his buddies -- were sure busy people! And to think of walking all that way. I don't know how to thank you for sending that information. I have printed it out for me & all 4 of my kids. John Andrew came to St. Louis after the war and met Margaret Josephine Quinlan, who had come from Ireland in about 1850 as a baby. They were married and lived in St. Louis, for a while, then moved to Schell City, MO, and later to Nevada, MO. John Andrew died in 1909 and Margaret Josephine in 1925. My father, Fred Leo Harriman, was the last of 10 children. I never knew either of these grandparents, but have heard a lot about them. My grandmother got her birth certificate from Ireland when she applied for her husband's pension. They belonged to the G.A.R. and the W.R.C. I certainly prize the record you have sent me. Thank you so much. Sarah HARRIMAN White
