Hello Everyone, As I was transcribing the 1860 Census for the Lone Jack, Missouri area, I noticed that there were two free black families listed on the census. I am trying to track down descendants and/or information on these families. Or where I could go to find information. Thomas Hale - 60 - Stone Mason - Unknown Jane Hale - 45 - Housekeeper - Virginia Martha William - 33 - Housekeeper - Kentucky Thomas Green - 5 - Missouri Jane Williams - 3 - Missouri Joshua Williams - 1 - Missouri As President of the Friends of Historic Lone Jack, we are very much interested in possibly doing an exhibit on this family and their struggles during the War, for the Civil War Museum here in Lone Jack.
