Someone had e-mailed me needing information of J. M. James. Well I found out some more. We found a listing for J. M. James in a cemetery listed as Viola or McCullough Cemetery. It had him listed as 1st Arkansas Calvary. In the book "Damned Yankees" which has the Arkansas troops listed. John M. James was listed as being born in Marion Co., Arkansas. He joined at Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 23 on Nov.10, 1863. J. M. was listed as 81 years old when he died in 1922. This would make him the correct age with our other findings. Fred D.
