    2. Barb Posz & Janet Crain Barb I saw your post to the list, it is what triggered my request. The problem I was alluding to was the fact that I receive the mailings in Digest form and since the (unknown number of responses were sent directly to Sherri she is the only one who received the knowledge). This then excludes them from being put out there in the Rootsweb Archives. What I was suggesting was that anyone who responds to a query might also respond to the list so that all of us may have the benefit of the knowledge. An additional benefit might be that the same or similar query would not be repeated by someone like me.     3. I, too prefer that replies go the list unless the scope of interest is extremely limited. By the same token, I feel it best that "Thank you"'s go to the person intended to be thanked, not the whole list. This would save us us all a lot of time. :-) Happy hunting all.
