    2. I do hope that this is not an improper place to post this. I found these obit clippings in some of my old papers. I did try to find a surname list for Griggs but to no avail. According to these clippings, David Griggs may be found in Crowder cemetery. I believe it may be in Schuyler county. ------------------------------------------------------ Died On last Monday evening occurred the sudden death of David S Griggs at the home of his daugher, Mrs Cornelia Lewis, in the city. David S Griggs was born in Boon Co Illinois, July 23, 1832, and died April 51969, aged 76 years 8 months and 12 days. He moved with his parents to Boone Co, Missouri, and later to Schuyer Co., Mo, where he lived until his death. He was married to Louisa Seamster and to this union were born five children, Frank Griggs of Queen City, Mrs Cornelia Lewis, Mrs Bettie Bowers, Mrs Rollie Daniels, and Mrs Josephine Daniels, deceased. His first wife died in 1870 and he was married to Emmaline Shockly and to them were born four children, Lettie Griggs, deceased, Charles and Willie Griggs and Mrs. Olie Rowe. Burial was at Crowder Cemetery on Wednesday. ----------------------------- David Griggs Dead David Griggs, on eof the pioneeers of Schuyler county died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ben Lewis, in Greentop, Mo., Monday, April 5, 1909. At the time of his death he was about 76 years old. Mr. Griggs has been an exceptionally hearty man until the last year or two. Since last fall he has been in rather poor health, being troubled with somothering spells. He leaves several children besides a host of friends to mourn his loss. His remains were laid to rest in the Crowder cemetery Wednesday, April 7, 1909.
