Maria - I have run across listings in the Census for Poor Farms so I know they existed. I research Douglas, Webster and Ozark counties so it was probably in that area I saw the listing. Pat Alsup Hardman
May also be listed as county infirmaries or simply county farms, everyone knew who they were for, I think. V.
