Wishart does still exist. I checked my phone book. No post office any longer though.(1884-1957) It must be very small. I even looked on my map, & it's not listed. Bolivar is the county seat & I am real close to that city. Is it Bailey you're looking for? Wishart, MO is definitely on the Polk County, MO map even today. True, there is no longer a post office there. It is located in the SW part of the county just a few miles north of Morrisville, MO, in the general direction of Bolivar, the county seat (where I live today). At one time, there was even a railroad through that small village on the route between Bolivar and Willard, MO. Once, I knew a college student who rode a train from Peabody, MA to Wishart, MO back in the 1930's. The train ticket had an unbelievable number of transfers and was several feet long.
