Hi, It seems that most cemetery location research in Missouri is being done on a county by county basis. Many counties are doing well, others not so well and then many are doing almost nothing. Most of this work is being done by dedicated individuals who enjoy such work. Organizations usually don't have the time or money to field teams to cover large areas. It takes several things to enable an individual to pursue this hobby. Namely, the time, the money, the equipment, the understanding of location methods, the physical stamina and the desire to do research and perservance to brave cold, heat, dogs, ticks and the necessity of knocking on many doors, climbing fences and thrashing through buck brush to attain their goal. And the ability to call it fun is a plus. So is the ability to read a badly eroded or seemingly blank tombstone as plus. I have also found it a good idea to be able to explain to the county sheriff just why you've be driving up and down a little used back county road all day. Paul
