    3. Eleanor, I don't really know what the laws are but my friend and I successfully stopped a contractor from leveling a small cemetery in Platte County. I sent a email to the Historical Society explaining what was happening with the cemetery. Before we knew it the contractors plans had changed big time. There are only about 6 graves there. But it is very old early 1800's. Hope that this helps you. 3. Where was that cemtery you saved Dee? There are several small ones up by the airport toward Hampton and the old Tiffany Springs Hotel. As I understand it, no graveyard of any size can be bulldozed or paved over in any manner, but I'm a fraid I can't quote statue and reg. on that. That's why the old Barry cemetery sits in the middle of yukkie urban sprawl now. There is also a small cemetery at Metro North mall by the Dead Lobster... Kathleen O'Brien-Blair Kansas City but originally from Parkville for the last 5 generations. ----- Original Message ----- From: William Bruce <eleven-plus@worldnet.att.net> To: <MO-CEMETERIES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 30, 2001 11:34 PM Subject: Re: [MO-CEM] Laws regarding graves being destroyed: > Eleanor, > I don't really know what the laws are but my friend and I successfully > stopped a contractor from leveling a small cemetery in Platte County.
