Taber Cemetery at Economy, Missouri (now called Vienna). The grave is marked by a weeping willow tree just as you enter cemetery, planted by my grandfather shortly after her death." I can't seem to find records of this cemetery. Did the name change? Can anyone in the area provide clues? Thanks! ~~~~~ For some reason Cemetery queries are being moved from this board to others. The above query was moved to Maries County MO. where it does NOT belong. http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.maries/mb.ashx It should be moved back, or to Macon County MO. Maries County doesn't have a Mount Taber/Tabor Cemetery. I assume it was moved there because it does have a town named Vienna. I don't understand why this was moved from the MO Cemetery Board. It was in the correct place. It is about a Missouri Cemetery. The cemetery, it turns out, is in Macon County MO. http://resources.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/townco.cgi Results for City: Vienna State: MO City State County Vienna MO Maries Results for City: Economy State: MO City State County Economy MO Macon Macon is the correct County. http://thelibrary.springfield.missouri.org/lochist/moser/maconpl.html ECONOMY (VIENNA) It was a post-office three miles east of Atlanta. CAMPBELL, 336. It is situated on Sec. 26, Twp. 59 N, R. 16 W on M west of K. Mail is via Atlanta; population 30. RAND MCNALLY, 1974. Economy was established by C. H. Nelson, who, when naming it, said, "It was economy to buy at this place." EATON, 3rd. Article, 191. ~~~~~ Now this Lyda Township, Macon CO. link does have a Mt Tabor Cemetery. It is near a town named Economy, Missouri. http://www.rootsweb.com/~momacon/lyda.htm http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=30378&CScnty=1457&CSsr=61& I's not that unusual for information in notes to be off in spelling or facts.
