My mother was a Smith . Stacy and I tried to find some connection but it did not find anything in common. My Smith where from the Harrison County Mo. But there are a lot of Smith in that area. One thing about my Smiths they did not use the name over and over . I am searching my husbands side of the family and they are driving me crazy. There are 4 generations of Herman's and that is a direct line . Am afraid to see what the brothers and sisters named their kids. Also the naming of a daughter after the mother has made for great confusion too. Loretta
