OK!!!-- MAYBE you can help me with my Smith----Greenbury or Greenberry Smith b-1822 IN ,d- after 1870 MO census? --married Nancy Frances b-1824 TN, d- after 1863 IL ?--Children were Mary M. b -1846 IL----Keziah Jane (my ggrandmother) b-1848 IL, d-Dec. 12, 1927 St. Joseph, MO ---Sarah E. b-1850 IL---David b-Sept 1853 IL---Nancy E. b-1858 IL---Irene b-1863 IL-- What I think is that after Nancy died they moved to Holt Co. MO were Keziah Jane was married July 9, 1871 in Oregon, MO to Joseph Cortney Story b-May 21, 1836 OH, d-Jan 16, 1888 St.Joseph, MO. (both are buried in Oakland Cemetery (also called Ashland Cemetery) My grandfather would never talk about his father and I do not know why. I found out that Joseph was a Confederate Soldier and his brother was a Union Soldier so that could be the trouble. I would like to know who Greenbury,s parents are -also when and where he is buried. I think Nancy Frances was a (Halloway??) Would also like to find her parents and where she died and is buried. David moved back to IL and married Mary b-Oct 1859 WV and had two children Jesse b-April 1879 IL, Harry b-Sept 1891 IL. Lets hope that we can get these Smiths in the right places sometime.
