Jabes/z probably went to Missouri because his mother's father and family [by a second wife] had all moved there. His mother was the daughter of Jacob & Katy [GROOM] MOORMAN. For some reason Jacobs daughters by Katy were reared by their grandfather GROOM and Polly used the GROOM name when she married. Subsequently his mother's sister Nancy, the only other child of Jacob and Katy Nancy [MOORMAN] WALDRON and her husband Beverly also moved to MO.
