    2. Actually this applies to all areas. If you have the Obit, it usually lists the Funeral Home. However, back in 1921 the funeral may have been handled out of the residence of the deceased. I would check: 1. The Yellow Pages for Funeral Homes within a 25 mile radius of Dexter, MO as they exist today. Ask them if they may have been in business at the time. If not did they buy out a previous owner. 2. Check with the Dexter Library, see if they might have business directories for the era of interest. Undertakers during the 20's were frequently associated with Livery Stables and/or Furniture Stores/Builders. 3. Contact the County Clerk for Stoddard Co., they may expend a bit more effort on your behalf. Make sure you include copies of both your news article and the rejection letter from Jefferson City. 4. Contact the State Licensing Office for Funeral Homes in Jefferson City, they may be able to shed some light on the businesses in the area. 5. Check with the Cemetery, they may have the information in their original ledgers. 6. Check with the local church that handled the funeral. 3. You might try Butler County (Poplar Bluff Hospital) or Scott County (Sikeston Hospital) instead of Stoddard County. I know that after years of trying to get my grandmother's death certificate in New Madrid County, I found that she actually died in the Cario, IL hospital in 1914. She is buried in Sikeston City Cemetery and lived in Morehouse, which is just over the New Madrid County border. Although the obituary says he died at home, she may have died at a nearby hospital and the record of death would be in that county. 3. Bill, I answered that query to the list, I will paste it in this message again. I suggested that the inquirer go to the Genweb page for Henry Co. Missouri and contact the HCHS. Both great sources for cemetery and other information for Henry Co. I receive the list as a digest, I assume you just missed my reply. I know I have done that many times and wonder what the reply was! You will find most cemeteries listed on the Henry county page. Barb Posz Sherri, There is a Leesville in Henry Co., as well as a Good Hope and Tebo Church and Cemetery. There was also an Old Tebo cemetery that has been moved, most likely to make the Truman Reservoir in the 1970's. These would all be in Leesville Township, Henry Co. Missouri. Leesville is on Hiway PP north of Tightwad, Missouri which is on Hiway 7 between Warsaw and Clinton. Henry County has an excellent Genweb page at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mohenry/henryco.html I did not find a grave listed for John Brubaker, but perhaps if you post on the above website, someone will have more help for you. The Henry County Museum has an wide collection of Henry County records so they would more than likely be able to help. 1. [MO-CEM] Responses to Queries
    2. Listers, Todays mailing included a thank you note to all the persons who supplied information relative to a Henry County Cemetery query. I would assume that many individuals responded directly to the person who posted the original message. Unfortunately I too would have possibly been able to benefit from the answers that were sent, but they weren't posted on the list. If you have information that is of general interest, please assume that some of us out here might also be interested. It is much easier to delete a message if it doesn't fit our needs. For example I am looking for a burial of a couple of infant brothers of my grandfather buried in some cemetery possibly between Deepwater & Montrose, Henry County, Missouri back in the 1880-1900 era. So please post answers to the list.
