    3. Sorry to be late getting back to all those who asked for the URLs for finding what I've found. Here they are, but be sure that as you copy them, you have them (each) all in one line [no spaces]. The Internet is pretty unforgiving that way. It doesn't know "You know what I mean," most of the time." I think I used several different programs. One of them (which someone here gave me) is this: http://geonames.usgs.gov/gnisform.html But the actual screen shots that show me the cemetery in topo, and my great grandparents house-on-the-bluff in aerial photo, are these (sorry I didn't write which is which), each of which is given as "1 KM north of Berger, MO - http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.asp?S=11&T=2&X=1612&Y=10706&Z=15&W=0 and http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.asp?S=10&T=1&X=3222&Y=21413&Z=15&W=0 Even if you get the numbers mixed up, perhaps you can get there with the "terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/" part of the URL. Wish I could help more. If somebody really gets stuck and wants to see it, send me a private note and I'll stick a print-out into the mail. Best wishes, -DHF David Hadley Finke Columbia, MO 65203

    2. Howard Gadberry
    3. David - I'm puzzled! Were you viewing the USGS Topo map, or the Ortho-Photo aerial photo? I tried both images of "Berger" at the highest resolution (200 yards), and could not find the Fink cemetery - only a legend for "Methodist cemetery". And of course, the Ortho Photo did not have any kind of legends or text to identify the features. Can you tell me what you were viewing, and how to find the details that you found? Thanks. Howard Gadberry Subject: [MO-CEM] Cemetery near Berger, Missouri From: David H Finke <dfinke@coin.org> Subject: Know of this cemetery? This weekend I was looking at a USGS mapping program on the Internet, and in curiosity homed in on Berger (you can just give a town name; don't have to know coordinates), and went looking at the old family land. As I zoomed in to the highest resolution (1 inch = 200 yards) there on the topographical map, to my amazement, popped up the words "Fink Cem." on the wooded bluff to the north of the land where their house was. (The house is still there, clearly visible in the comparable aerial photo, right above the railroad tracks on the bluff, first building north of town.) 2. Sandy Nehrling
    3. Diana, I am about a week behind (at least!) in my email, and if you have already had an answer, please forgive me. If you have an actual legal description for a piece of property, go to the county clerk's office and have them locate it for you on the plat maps. Obviously I don't know what "expert" you used, but the legal desc. and corresponding piece of land never change - it's the only way title can be issued. Good luck! Thanks Barb - I typed the info for the web site so I know what the legal description is but when I asked an "expert" to translate and we went to that location there wasn't a cemetery to be found. Thanks anyhow. Diana
