    2. On 18 March I published the names of individuals whose photographs appeared in the Alhambra Grotto publications in 1929 & 1930. I am sure there are a few individuals who thought this was a waste of time on their part in having to read these notes and there are others that scanned the lists hoping that I might have their relative listed. I thought I would give a short report of the results, thus far: Out of the 87 identified photos I have received 18 requests, one of the photos was sent to two persons, while two photos of bowling teams was sent to two other persons, this evening I met one of these individuals and was able to give him a bowling trophy from 1940 which was presented to his father's bowling team. Until this evening I hadn't looked at the entire engraving on the trophy but prior to the man's arrival I noticed that it was presented to the winning team sponsored by the PEETZ UNDERTAKERS, the business owned by his cousins. Not a bad for only one week. 1. Re: [MO-CEM] From List Mom - Please Read - Regarding Living Persons
    2. B. Warner
    3. Kathleen, Are you including the names of survivors that are listed in obituaries? Much of this information has already been publicly published in newspapers. Also, I've found that many newspapers as well as funeral homes now have this information online already. I've posted hundreds of obits on the GenConnect Board in my county and surrounding counties which I've copied from local newspapers. I always try to include the source of my information. Of course, many of these obits include the names of people who are, obviously, living otherwise they wouldn't be listed as survivors. You can hardly post obituaries and not include those. Are you saying we shouldn't do that? It's always been my opinion that this information was already in the public domain by virtue of the fact that it was published in a newspaper. B. 2. Kathleen Burnett
    3. Dear List Members: I just want to take a moment to remind you that you should never give information on living persons in your messages without their permission or the permission of their parents if they are children. The most important reason for this is the right to privacy. You also need to remember that anything you post goes into the archives of that list and stays there. It cannot be removed but it can be copied and added to any ones site out there in the world of the internet. This may not seem real important, but I promise it will become so when you are surfing the web one day and come across a site with your children's names, grandchildren's names, where they live and how old they are. I continue to thank you for your support. Kathleen Burnett List Mom
