    2. Judith Katzmark
    3. TOY is a good case for upper case (or capitals). Always use for SURNAMES only in genealogy. First and middle names should be in lower case beginning with a capital. The reason? To avoid confusion.

    1. [MO-CEM] From List Mom - Please Read - Regarding Viruses
    2. Kathleen Burnett
    3. Dear List Members - PLEASE DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS on the personal e-mail you are receiving without being 100% plus sure who it is from and that it is not a virus and the only way you can be this sure is run a Virus Scan. The new one now is "Homepage" If you open the Homepage attachment, it sends a copy of itself to everyone in your address book. Homepage then randomly chooses an adult Web page to display on the system's default Internet browser." To learn more aobut this one go to http://www.zdnet.com/zdhelp/stories/main/0,5594,2708116,00.html Homepage is just one of many. If you would like to know more about all of this you can join the Virus Discussion Mailing list by sending the word Subscribe to VIRUS-DISCUSSION-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM We are going to be OK. These viruses cannot be sent through Rootweb so it is up to each of us to protect our fellow members. When I get a message from one of you and see that you have the virus, your e-mail address is unsubscribed from the mailing list until you get your computer system clean and then you are welcomed back with open arms. Just remember - do not open ANY attachements unless you are sure it is not a virus. If you are not sure - delete it. Those of us who are deeply nvolved in our genealogical research are so fearful that we are going to delete that one clue, which we have been waiting for, that many of us are opening these attachements - taking the chance - and because of this we are being hit hard by the virus. I appreciate your help with this. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    1. [MO-CEM] Re: Mount Olive Cem.
    2. Laurie, Mount Olive Cemetery is owned and operated by the Archdiocese of St. Louis. I have a copy of the burials up to June 1990, send me the name of your ancestor and I'll check the record. However, Mt Olive records are not all that great. Several burials are not listed and the ones that are do not contain much. Seems that the caretaker, before the cemetery was taken over by the Diocese, didn't do a very good job of taking care of the records. What they have is what was logged and what they were able to reconstruct from various pieces of paper. 2. Robert Gottschalk
    3. Hi All, We are looking for a family of Dearmond in Dale Tnp Atchison, Mo census of 1910.. Headed by Wm. and Leah Adaline Dearmond or sons Winfield Scott or Charles Dearmond. Would appreciate the lookup greatly. Also is there a 1890 census for the same area? I have forgotten whether Mo. has this census or not . I know many states don't. Have a copy of the 1900. So, I know they were there. Trying to find out whether Scott and family moved out to Ca. by this time (1910) or later. And also to see if Wm or Adaline may have passed on by this time. Trying to figure out when and where they died. In the 1900 Wm and Adaline were living with son Scott. By 1910 they would be in their 80's , one or both could be gone by then. Janet Crain ----- Original Message ----- From: <Baskp0491@aol.com> To: <NCWILKES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2001 1:57 PM Subject: [NCWILKES] Fwd: [MORANDOL-L] Holloway family cemetery discovered This was in Tues, 8 May, Springfield MO News Leader, p. 5B: Discovery of cemetery halts roadwork--Associated Press-Kansas City-- Construction of a new highway in south Kansas City has been halted by the discovery of a small cemetery dating back to the Civil War era. State officials are anxious to find any descendants of the Holloway family who are bured in the cemetery. If the heirs can't be found, the state will have to get court permission to move the nine graves in the plot, in order to finish a new Missouri 150. Construction workers recently unearthed a marble headstone, dating from 1858, while moving a large section of water pipe. Archaeologists later found another headstone and evidence of seven other graves. The site has not been disturbed further. -------- Please pass this on to other lists. Doris Wilson
