Donna, Thanks so much for the compliment. It's appreciated, but all credit goes to list mama, Kathleen Burnett [email protected] and Website Manager Ann Bush http://www.rootsweb.com/~mocemete/mocem.htm These two ladies do us proud, and I'm proud of the work they both do. I'm happy to be able to help whoever and wherever I can, but without them, I'd have to be doing it in other places than here. Just for a comparison, Kathleen and Ann also do the KS[CEM] message list http://www.rootsweb.com/~kscemete/kscem.htm, same great job both places. My main area of interest there. http://www.rootsweb.com/~kscemete/cherokee/cherokee.html Take a look at this one, I have to admit the message list might be fine, (maybe I should join and see?) but, I personally think the website is really lacking at least for my area of interest... Ottawa County OK. http://www.rootsweb.com/~okcemete/okcem.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~okcemete/ottawa/ottawa.htm Then check out those submission requirements against Ann's. Howdy, it's no wonder they don't have all the information Ann does. So thanks again, but let's give the two ladies behind the list and site the credit, they earn it. Orlena [email protected] wrote: Orlene: Keep the list the way it is !! You do a great job with it. Thanks Donna from MO now in MN
Wayne, It's only a downside when people don't understand how it works and don't allow for the differences. I like the link between the list and site myself. Maybe, because I use both places. When the message comes from the site, I go there to answer it. There are advantages to answering from the site. I was disappointed when I first realized they weren't connected. I was used to the KS[CEM] and others that were connected. This way I see what comes in without having to go to the site to check them. When I want to answer and it comes from the site, I click the link and I'm there. I answer and the persons sees it as well as the List. It's easy to tell the list and site queries apart. I'm happy to have them both together. I am inquiring about Holy Trinity Cemetery (Poor Man's Catholic Cemetery) in north St. Louis on the south side of Bircher near Florissant. Was it affiliated with Holy Trinity Catholic Church on 14th and Mallinkrodt in St. Louis? Were all the graves moved to Calvary? When was it founded and when did it cease? Where are the records available--in the St. Louis County Library? Erven Thoma

I am looking for early..early records of burials in the Linn-Bethel/Grant cemetery. I have searched the Prather transcriptions and found nothing. My gg grandmother should be buried there but can not find a record of her. Her name is Aletha (Letha) Elizabeth(Simons) Sargent, and she died sometime in 1920. Have found my gg grandfather's grave but no luck with hers. Any help would be appreciated. Grace
Pat - I think I looked for you before for your friend. BUT now I have more friends in town that I did before. I will ask at my Sunday School class, which is only us old ladies and one guy....who have been here for a lot of years. Maybe someone will remember. This may be inappropriate for this list, as it really has nothing to do with cemeteries, BUT I noticed in the last post that there are a few of you from Mountain Grove and I have a question about a surname that was from there. About 40/45 years ago I had a best friend from there with the surname of GREENLEE. As I remember from being there only one time, there was rather a large family, and I believe there were all daughters, no sons. My friends first name was Vernita, called Nita for short, and I believe she had a sister called Vonnie. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I would love to get back in touch.
