    1. RE: [MO-CEM] cleaning old Cemeterys
    2. Lorrie
    3. One thing one needs to realize is that some of these cemeteries are in the middle of nowhere. They are thick forests filled with many creatures. The best time to clear out a forgotten cemetery is in the cool weather when many of the ticks, spiders, snakes, etc. are dormant. I had walked out to one cemetery thinking I would be able to get in and it was impossible. Just the walk from the main room - I had three ticks. So, timing is important. -----Original Message----- From: Thelma Nation [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 18, 2005 10:45 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [MO-CEM] cleaning old Cemeterys Great News! 2. Jennie Vertrees
    3. Elmwood is a very interesting cemetery. The front part, bordering Truman Road, is well-kept, but the back part is not that well kept. DON'T venture into the cemetery alone. It is not in a good part of town and druggies are known to hang out there. I'm fascinated with cemeteries, so when I was a student at the Seminary diagonally across the street from the cemetery, I decided to drive through there one day and a car pulled in behind me and tailed me all the way through the cemetery. I never went into the place again. It was then I learned that city cemeteries can be dangerous places to visit, especially if one is alone. Jennie

    1. PRICHARD, John Clarence and Family
    2. Brian Cummins
    3. My g.grandfather and family disappear from all British records after 1883 and I believe they emigrated to the USA. They were John Clarence Prichard and his wife Priscilla (both born 1850 Salford, Lancashire, England) and children Elizabeth Maud (b.1871), Margaret (b.1878), Robert Henry (b.1881) and Alice( b.1883). Ancestry.com says that a John Clarence and a Robert Henry Prichard appear in the Cooper County (MO) cemetery records. I have so far been unable to trace these names and the lead could be false. Help! Thank you, Brian
