    3. Check the website Genealogy in St. Louis for the obits available fromm the early 1890 to the 1940's. I found 3 catherin Krennings just glancing one in 1909 and 1 in 1919. If there was an obit, it's just a matter of having the date and getting someone to copy it. You wouldn't get the children's name, but you would get the parent and the number of children in school. These are available at other dates than just the every 10 years of the censuses. Also if you know of any unusual circumstances such as divorce, early death of parent/parents, you might find some info in guardianship papers. I tend to not trust the census records when I find a conflict like this---I've just found too many mistakes on them. I try to use them more as a guide than as absolute fact. I have searched and so has my daughter this site. There are some mistakes I see. Maid Fiveash was born Aug. 27,1865, in Tennessee not Marion, Ill. as most people think. This is on the 1880 census in Trousdale Co., Tenn. As for Gentry and Gertrude everyone says they are twins, this is impossible, since Gentry (it looks like the name Gentry) is listed as 1 year old in the Smith Co., Tenn. 1870 and is listed as a Female. Then in 1880 it list Gertrude as 11 years old. Gentry and Gertrude are Not listed anywhere together. Thanks for your information, appreciate it. Sandy
