    1. [MO-CEMETERIES] where is Missouri cemetery from 1879?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: JGtravel Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.cemetery.us.mo/1785/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My great-grandmother died as a young woman and notes say she "is buried in Mt. Taber Cemetery at Economy, Missouri (now called Vienna). The grave is marked by a weeping willow tree just as you enter cemetery, planted by my grandfather shortly after her death." I can't seem to find records of this cemetery. Did the name change? Can anyone in the area provide clues? Thanks! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. I was just recently at the Vernon Co. Courthouse and found land records for my family in 1869-1870. You might be able to find that kind of information at the courthouse. I live in Texas so can't help you by going there for you. 3. OK, I've changed my mind on this. I say Tunnel Cemetery and Haley Cemetery are the same cemetery. If that is not the case, then Tunnel Cemetery is probably just a little NE of Haley Cemetery. I have a listing for Haley Cemetery. That other cemetery to the NE is Haley Cemetery: http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=40.14889&lon=-93.35389&datum=NAD27&s=24&size=l I assume you have been on the ground in that location and did not find the cemetery. 3. The lines for many of our counties have changed. I'm not sure about what the original Texas County boundaries were. I have looked and cannot find Angelina Taylor in Texas County. Of course, she could have an unmarked grave or a stone that is unreadable. I have not found a Friends cemetery in the area though. The closest that I have found so far are in Scott and Jasper counties. I'm sorry. I will keep this name on my desk and as I'm researching will look for more information. 3. Wanting more info than necessary just clutters the question. Sometimes people don't want to put all their info online or in a post. They just have a simple question. I've tried to talk to some about that before, but apparently some still want all the info before they can help. Sorry if this upsets anyone, but sometimes Orlena's messages sound a bit snippy and today I have a lot more on my mind. -----Original Message----- From: mo-cemeteries-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:mo-cemeteries-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of E.D. 2. Since you have the Texas County Cemetery books, would you do a lookup on Elizabeth and Edington Walls?? I think they would have passed between 1870 and 1890.? And for any Sherrell's you might run across. Thanks in advance Kay Warren -----Original Message----- From: E.D. I happen to have the transcription books for Texas County. She gave the name and the dates. That's enough to check for a burial, at least for this genealogist. More info is necessary if she wants to know more than a burial, but too much would just clutter the message in this case. E.D. Seevers No virus found in this outgoing message. 3. Thanks but the waste of time is your Mendenhall and Stafford sources, which I have and researched extensively and found numerous errors. The reference to Texas County, Missouri, was brought to my recent attention and a possibility that I had not previously explored. Hinshaw indices record her and her family leaving Elk MM, OH, Jan. 1894 for Long Hollow MM, Missouri.
