All of you who are researching or interested in those involved in the Christian County Bald Knobbers listen up! I think I found a relationship link between John Mathews and Dave Walker! (I figured there was one...other than friendship). By putting together the Shipman info I recieved from one researcher and the Weatherman info I recieved from someone (I think) in this list I have realized that the Phoebe Sloan who was the second wife to Abraham Shipman (David Walker's father-in-law) was actually Phoebe Mathews (her first husband was Sloan) and her brother was the John Mathews that was hung that day! So John was Dave's step-mother-in-law's brother. Whew!
