I just wanted to ask a question about the WRV. I was wondering if they would be interested in a story about my 3rd great-grandfather William R. Boyd who was a Public Administrator in Ozark. His brother-in-law Zach Johnson of course you all know as the man who hung a few of the Bald Knobbers. Zach married William's sister. William's daughter wrote in her diary about the day of the hanging which is in my fathers' book. I'll list the webpages I have some of this information on for those interested. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~lgboyd/d10.htm This is the family of Samuel Boyd and Priscilla Wood. Sam was living with his son...he was a judge. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~lgboyd/chapter2.htm towards the bottom of this chapter is the diary of william's daughter by his first wife martha f marley, evalina boyd. a few months ago i sent copies of letters from william boyd and samuel boyd to his brother who still lived in georgia (where our boyds came from) to the historical society in ozark and to mabel phillips the librarian in ozark. these contain some information about the country and schools in chrisitian county. hope you all enjoy and let me know if you would be interested in a write up on all this for the WRV.
