    3. Gosh, Jerry, I overlooked the fact that my records show: Andrew Jackson MAPES b.ca 1889-1899 and Erma Novella BILYEU b.14 July 1899 had one son: William Eugene MAPES b.16 July 1918 prob. Jasper Co., MO So sorry I cannot tell you the source of this data as I was unable to salvage the notes that were in my old computer when its hard disk crashed about one year ago.     3. I think my dad, b. 1929, in Joplin, Jasper Co., may know Bill Mapes!!! That would be another weird coincidence in my family! My parents are already 7th and 9th cousins to each other, via Pittsylvania Co. folks. My brother and I are our own cousins, which considering we have no 1st cousins, is rather neat! Thanks again! By the way, I am going to have a ton of stuff to send you some day on the Sheltons; once I can sort it out and get it all entered!
