Well Jackie, To be honest with you, I have discussed this surname so very many times with so many people. I do not know. The surname PETTY has me very curious, because we don't know of another marriage of our Matilda who married GLAZE, but everone knew her as Matilda PETTY or "Grandma PETTY". We know that she was Native American, but haven't found any connections yet. Thank you.
