Bertha Isgrig of Bourbon passed away on Monday, June 5, 2000 at the age of90 years.Mrs. Isgrig was born on February 26, 1910 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to thelate Dock and Elsie (McGowan) Lieuallen. At a young age, Bertha and herfamily moved to Hollister, Mo. where she was raised. On November 15, 1941she was married to Glen Isgrig in Harrison, Arkansas, and to this union oneson was born. The newlyweds then moved to Bourbon, Mo. where Bertha haslived the remaining years of her life. Her primary vocation has been thatof a devoted wife, loving mother, and homemaker. She especially enjoyedtaking care of her home, and also found fulfillment as a very active memberof the Sullivan Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for over forty years.Those who knew her best describe Bertha as a quiet, gentle woman whotreated others with much kindness and consideration.She is survived by one son, Stanley Isgrig, and his fiancee, Debra Parnell,of Bourbon; four sisters, Virginia Petett of Kansas City, Mo., ClediaMattox of Sullivan, Vera Ramsey of Batesville, Mississippi, and LouiseAnderson of Ozark, Mo.; five step-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews,other relatives, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents,Bertha was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Lieuallen, and onesister, Letha Chrestman.Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2000from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Mr. Gerald Goffofficiating.
