I live only about an hour away from Ft. Wayne IN library. They are the second largest Genealogy Library in the country. Second only to Salt Lake City. I go often. They have tons and tons of material for research which includes all parts of the country. They have all census on microfilm for the entire country, and thousands of other materials. I have decided to offer to do look-ups and offer some assistance for a small fee to help me with the cost of fuel, parking, lunch, etc. I figure I will only charge for what I am able to find and copy for each individual. Hello again List, Welp, I am back again. This time not to ask anything but to try to be of some service to you all. I will be going back to the Forsyth Library (MO.) in the next couple of days. I don't know much about them. All I know is that my great grandmother was Lula Mae Pope Ward born 9/15/1882 died 6/12/1928.....her father was Joseph Ward born??? died in the 1930"s in Lafe, Ark. Her grandmother was Jane(Rogers)Pope probably born in Tn or Al. we really don't know.. and her grandfather was Joseph Pope who was probably born in Mo. again we just don't know. Hi all, Guess it's time for me to jump in here too. I'm also descended from Wilson and Margaret Petty--only I'm related through William and Elizabeth Coffey Petty, through their son Isaac and his son Jacob (my grandfather). I have done a lot of research on this Petty line, but obviously have more on William than I do on your Isaac. I have done limited research on Isaac's descendants. The Cherokee connection interests me. One researcher said that William and Elizabeth's youngest daughter, Mary Ellen, who married a Cummings was Cherokee, but I have never found any proof of Indian heritage. However, I don't know anything about Wilson's wife, Margaret--I can't find a marriage license or a last name for her, so she could be from an Indian tribe. Let me know if I can help. Marlene
