CARL W. HEWLETT, Baptist minister at Brunswick, Mo., and DAVID PEERY, Jr., an instructor at Carnegie Tech, Pittsburg, Pa. Was township Clerk and Assessor of Linn County, 1907-1909; County Surveyor, 1909-1921; member of the Linneus Board of Education, 1922-1928; chairman of the Linn County Democratic Central Committee, 1928-1930, and member of the Democratic State Committee, 1928-1930. He was a member of the House of Representatives of the 56th, 57th, 58th, and 59th General Assemblies, and was re-elected in 1938, serving in the 60th General Assembly as chairman of the Fish and Game Committee, which post he also held in the 59th General Assembly.
